Flicksy is a local Mac app. Your media content, media paths, folders, tags, collections, favorites, and other library metadata are not transmitted to Flicksy or stored in a Flicksy account.

Optional app analytics

Usage analytics are off by default. You can enable or disable “Share anonymous usage analytics” in Flicksy → Settings. When enabled, Flicksy uses TelemetryDeck to count app launches and use of previews, image comparison, and the command palette. Events include basic app and device information and an identifier hashed by the SDK. They never include filenames, paths, media content, tags, collections, search text, or license details.

Website analytics

We use TelemetryDeck to count visits to public pages and clicks on download and purchase links. We send only fixed event names and known public page paths. We do not send query strings, referrers, checkout details, or purchase confirmation page visits. Analytics use no cookies or persistent visitor identifiers; a random identifier is generated for each page visit.

You can turn website analytics off below. This preference is stored in this browser. We also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control; when either is enabled, this control is disabled and no analytics are sent.

TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses. See TelemetryDeck’s privacy policy for its data handling practices.

Direct licenses

When you activate, validate, or deactivate a direct license, Flicksy sends the license key and an app-generated installation identifier to Flicksy’s license API, which verifies the key with Creem. Flicksy does not send your computer name. Checkout and receipt email are handled by Creem; the Flicksy app does not request or store that email.

Direct updates

The direct app contacts Flicksy’s HTTPS update feed to check for signed updates. Flicksy does not enable Sparkle’s system-profile reporting.

Mac App Store

The App Store version verifies Apple’s signed app transaction for the paid download. It has no in-app purchase, trial, direct-license activation, or restore flow. Apple’s collection and handling of App Store data is governed by Apple’s policies.
