Flicksy is built so you can judge media before another player window opens.
Scrub video in the grid
On the Images & Video grid, move across a video thumbnail to skim the clip. The frame under the pointer is the preview. Click the play control on a cell when you want inline playback instead of scrubbing.
Open a preview
Select one or more items and press Space.
In the viewer:
- ← and → move to the previous or next item.
- Space plays or pauses video and audio.
- F toggles full screen.
- Esc closes the viewer.
- + and − zoom an image.
Compare images
Select two to four images and press ⇧Space, or choose compare from the viewer toolbar or command palette.
Flicksy places the images in a layout you can change until the best option is obvious. Press ⇧Space again to return to a single preview.
Crop, rotate, and flip
Image preview includes native crop, rotate, and flip. Crop guides include common print aspect ratios.
Applying a crop overwrites the original image. There is no separate export. If you need a copy, duplicate the file first from the command palette or context menu.
Rotate and flip also write back to the original file.
